The kids and I just checked out the Kit Kitredge American Girl DVD from the Library for $1. It was set in the depression and was relevant to our current economic times and allowed a good discussion between us. I may have even shed a tear or two. It was really well done. Probably good for ages 5+. The American Girl books are really well written too.

We saw this movie as a family a couple of months ago and we loved it! During and after the movie the kids had lots of questions. I can see myself buying this movie.
