It's a Record!

So my company has been around almost a year now and I enjoy it a lot! I made a goal this year to get 7 orders on My Cute Dressups each week. I did pretty good throughout the year. I mostly made the goal every time, except for one week in the winter I didn't have any orders. This week I had 23 orders! Maybe all of that article writing is paying off.

My ebay store is going ok, steady and strong. I had to go and change all of my listings so now it's slower than usual because I had to start over on many of them. But, overall I'm pleased with the progress there.

THIS IS WHERE I NEED SERIOUS HELP!

I am disappointed because Amazon just emailed and said sellers have to make 25 sales or more by November 1 or they will be kicked off until after Christmas. The reason I started the store is so I could be around for Halloween and Christmas. I've been on Amazon for about a month and have 9 sales. It will be a close call and I'm worried I'm not going to make it. The problem is when you are new on Amazon, they put you down on the very bottom until you prove yourself and make sales, but it's hard to make sales when you're number 100 on the rankings, sometimes I can't even find my listings. I need a good incentive for people to order on Amazon. Does anyone have any good ideas for a contest or a coupon? I would feel more comfortable if I could get 10 more sales. Let me know what you think! I need serious help!

Swap Meet Louie

Since the Quilted Bear thing didn't work out so well, I think I might try selling my princess dresses at a Swap Meet. A friend from California suggested it. I guess it is all the rage there. There's a new Swap Meet in Orem just off Geneva road, and a couple established ones in Salt Lake, one indoor and one outdoor. The prices are very reasonable. Have any of my loyal 5 readers ever been to one? I would love some advise!

Quilted Bear

Please, please, please princesses sell at Quilted Bear. Tons of work, not a lot of space, lots on moulah, and some Build-a-Bears purchased on ebay, created the first My Cute Dressups retail space at Quilted Bear in Provo.

Princess Festival

I am excited to be selling my Little Adventures dress up clothes at this year's Princess Festival at Hatfieldadelphia in Lindon. I have been able to take a tour of the facility there and it is amazing. They are pulling out all the stops and it is sure to please little and big princesses alike. They are expecting over 2000 people there. My girls and their grandma's will be 4 of them! Proceeds from the festival go to their charity, In Our Own Quiet Way, so it is going to a good cause.

Check out my tent/booth at the Princess Festival where I will be selling a selection of dress up clothes and sale items. We will have special discounts for pre-ordering, so email me or comment on this post if you would like a costume.

The Princess Festival is June 8th-13th, which is also when our family vacation will be, I will most likely be hiring an employee to work there for some of the time. I will for sure be there on the first day, Monday. Please stop by and say hi, I would love to see you!

Shout Out.... HEY THANKS!!!

I just wanted to give a shout out and say thanks to all of you who have referred others to my dress up business. And many, many people have! The last couple months, things have really picked up to where I think it will actually be worth doing and not just a time sucker. My goal was to make 7 sales a week by the end of the year and I have been able to meet that goal and more some weeks in March and April.

So here's to you.... THANKS!

New Look

I wish I had a new look, but I don't... My website does. Doesn't it look so much better?! http://www.mycutedressups.com/. The home page is the only thing Steve has had time to put up yet, but the other pages are going to be updated as well probably this week or next.

I had it professionally redesigned by someone I found on Craigslist. His pricing was extremely reasonable and as you can see, he did a really good job and I was a tough customer! I think I had him change things around about a hundred times. If you need some design work done, here's his contact info: Rich Poulsen 801-592-9245. I want him to do my photography site and my blog as well. Ah, to wish for someday!
